A National Team Finds Your Field

The Italian representative of beach soccer entered the federal path in 2004. On the sand, football acquires other measures: support is unstable, the ball rises often in the air and a spectacular conclusion can be born from a gesture that on the grass would have another meaning. Even the way of living the game changes, without reducing its agonistic difficulty.

Italbeach soon built its own international identity. The next victories and finals have given continuity to this presence, until they make the team one of the protagonists of European and world competitions. Its palmarès should be read distinguishing the tournaments and bodies that have organized them over time.

Four times at the top of Euroleague

The first title in the Euro Beach Soccer League came in 2005. After a long wait Italy won again in 2018, then in 2023 and 2025. Four successes distributed over twenty years tell a team that can return to the top even through deep changes.

The last victory came to Viareggio on 14-09-2025, with 8–5 in Spain in the final. The match added the fourth title to a palmarès that some historical reepylogues still stop at the third. On this page the success of 2025 is included in the budget, along with the seasons preceding it.

The world at one step

Italy reached three FIFA World Cup finals: in 2008, 2019 and 2024. The last game has assigned the title to the opponent every time, leaving three silver medals to the Azzurri. They are finals that preserve the bitterness of the missed finish, but they also document a repeated presence at the highest level.

In 2008 and 2024 the path ended against Brazil, while in 2019 the final was won by Portugal. Keeping opponents and editions distinct helps not to turn these stories into a single repeated defeat: each tournament had a team, path and own matches.

2015–2023

A palmarès that crosses multiple tournaments

The Ori at the Mediterranean Games on the beach of 2015 and 2019 add another perspective to the bulletin board. The silver of the 2015 European Games and 2023 are flanked by these. The beach soccer thus finds space in different events, in which the Italian representative has continued to conquer medals.

Not all competitions have the same format and the same history. This is why the results are nominated for extensively: a FIFA World Cup, an Euroleague and a multisports tournament are not synonymous. Accuracy allows to recognize the value of each success without confuse it with others.

2025–2026

The last seasons

In the World Cup of 2025, the Italian route was interrupted by quarters against Senegal, victorious 4–3 after extras. A few months later the European title of Viareggio arrived: the same season had a global disappointment and a continental victory.

In the final of the Euroleague in September 2026 Italy returned to face Spain, this time losing 5–2. The titles remain four and silver adds a new placement to the picture. It is this alternation of goals and reparations to give movement to a story that, on the sand, seldom grants quiet matches.
