Notes: Train to Paris (sic!) and back in retreat to Saint Germain en Laye. They are in 18 because Donati, Genta, Olmi and Ferraris II have already returned home as "superfluous" for the final. 5': from Serantoni to Biavati, which takes the right and crosses Piola; pretended to defenders, draws Szabo and leans against Colaussi that marks undisturbed.
The second blue goal is legendary: from Colaussi to Ferrari to Meazza that turns to Andreolo who jumps two opponents in dribbling with his famous double step and stretches to Piola that triangular with Ferrari, stoppa and string at the intersection of the poles. The second goal of Colaussi arrives with a ball to spin while the 4-2 of Piola comes first on Biavati's cross. Italy is world champion for the second time. No one imagines that they'll have to spend 12 years before they play a new world.
