The path
Luisito Monti - at the same time Luis Felipe Monti - a native Argentine but descendant of Italians, was one of the many oriundi players who in the first post-war period dressed the jersey of the Italian National Football Team. Massive and effective support center, he began with the Argentine national team in 1924, playing the Olympics of 1928 and getting second place to the 1930 World Championships. He moved to Italy in 1931, at Juventus, and won four consecutive championships with the Bianconeri team. With the Old Lady's house, Monti collected 263 games played by 22 goals, 19 of which were in Serie A.
He obtained his passport thanks to the Italian ancestor was also naturalized and he could play, since December 1932, with the national team of blue, with which he totaled eighteen games played and a goal, conquering the world title of 1934 under the orders of Vittorio Pozzo. Monti thus became the first (and, until now, only) player to have played two world finals with two different cottages. Monti suffered a heavy play injury in the game against England on 14-11-1934 and passed to history as Battle of Highbury.
After a few minutes of play he had a foot fractured by the hard game of albionics, an injury that forced Italy to play almost all the difficult game in numerical inferiority and which kept him long away from the playing fields. Despite this, Monti's career continued in national league until 1936 and Juventus until 1938 when he retired at the age of 37.
